Linus Walleij 52915b4999 gpio: pl061: move irqdomain initialization
commit 2ba3154d9cb13697b97723cce75633b48adfe826 upstream.

The PL061 driver had the irqdomain initialization in an unfortunate
place: when used with device tree (and thus passing the base IRQ
0) the driver would work, as this registers an irqdomain and waits
for mappings to be done dynamically as the devices request their
IRQs, whereas when booting using platform data the irqdomain core
would attempt to allocate IRQ descriptors dynamically (which works
fine) but also to associate the irq_domain_associate_many() on all
IRQs, which in turn will call the mapping function which at this
point will try to set the type of the IRQ and then tries to acquire
a non-initialized spinlock yielding a backtrace like this:

This moves the irqdomain initialization to a point where the spinlock
and GPIO chip are both fully propulated, so the callbacks can be used
without crashes.

I had some problem reproducing the crash, as the devm_kzalloc():ed
zeroed memory would seemingly mask the spinlock as something OK,
but by poisoning the lock like this:

u32 *dum;
dum = (u32 *) &chip->lock;
*dum = 0xaaaaaaaaU;

I could reproduce, fix and test the patch.

commit 39b70ee051 "gpio: pl061: bind pinctrl by gpio request"
adds pl061_gpio_request() to request pinctrl.
Thus we need to add corresponding pl061_gpio_free() to free the pin.

Catalin Marinas de88cbb7b2 arm: Move chained_irq_(enter|exit) to a generic file
These functions have been introduced by commit 10a8c383 (irq: introduce
entry and exit functions for chained handlers) in asm/mach/irq.h. This
patch moves them to linux/irqchip/chained_irq.h so that generic irqchip
drivers do not rely on architecture specific header files.

Haojian Zhuang 39b70ee051 gpio: pl061: bind pinctrl by gpio request
Add the pl061_gpio_request() to request pinctrl. Create the logic
between pl061 gpio driver and pinctrl (pinctrl-single) driver.

While a gpio pin is requested, it will request pinctrl driver to
set that pin with gpio function mode. So pinctrl driver should
append .gpio_request_enable() in pinmux_ops.

Viresh Kumar 6e33aceda2 gpio/gpio-pl061: No need of thaw and poweroff routines for hibernate
pl061 uses same routines for suspend/freeze/poweroff and resume/thaw/restore.
We are only saving and restoring register values on these routines.

During hibernation, in freeze() we take a snapshot of gpio registers. In thaw()
we don't actually need to restore these registers, as power was never shut down
till now. Similarly, in poweroff() we don't need to take snapshot of these
registers again, as it was done during freeze() and by now the image is already
saved on disk.

This patch passes poweroff() and thaw() routines as NULL to avoid this extra
work done.

Rob Herring 2de0dbc5f6 gpio: pl061: remove combined interrupt
Drivers should not have a dependency on NR_IRQS. Doing so may break with
SPARSE_IRQ enabled. As there are no in kernel users of the pl061 which
have multiple instances with their interrupts combined to a single parent
interrupt, remove this functionality. If this capability is needed later,
it could be supported more cleanly by just using a devicetree property.
