27a884dc3c [SK_BUFF]: Convert skb->tail to sk_buff_data_t
So that it is also an offset from skb->head, reduces its size from 8 to 4 bytes
on 64bit architectures, allowing us to combine the 4 bytes hole left by the
layer headers conversion, reducing struct sk_buff size to 256 bytes, i.e. 4
64byte cachelines, and since the sk_buff slab cache is SLAB_HWCACHE_ALIGN...
:-)

Many calculations that previously required that skb->{transport,network,
mac}_header be first converted to a pointer now can be done directly, being
meaningful as offsets or pointers.

c1d2bbe1cd [SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_reset_network_header(skb)
For the common, open coded 'skb->nh.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can
later turn skb->nh.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in

This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more
"complex" cases.

ecbb416939 [NET]: Fix neighbour destructor handling.
->neigh_destructor() is killed (not used), replaced with
->neigh_cleanup(), which is called when neighbor entry goes to dead
state. At this point everything is still valid: neigh->dev,
neigh->parms etc.

The device should guarantee that dead neighbor entries (neigh->dead !=
0) do not get private part initialized, otherwise nobody will cleanup
it.

I think this is enough for ipoib which is the only user of this thing.
Initialization private part of neighbor entries happens in ipib
start_xmit routine, which is not reached when device is down. But it
would be better to add explicit test for neigh->dead in any case.

cd354f1ae7 [PATCH] remove many unneeded #includes of sched.h
After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h
recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes.
There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need
anything defined in there. Presumably these includes were once needed for
macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the
course of cleaning it up.

To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only
removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble.

Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha,
arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig,
allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all
configs in arch/arm/configs on arm. I also checked that no new warnings were
introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted
by unnecessarily included header files).

9a32144e9d [PATCH] mark struct file_operations const 7
Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const
moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential

84ff602efb [ATM]: Fix for crash in adummy_init()
This was reported by Ingo Molnar here,

http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/12/18/119

The problem is that adummy_init() depends on atm_init() , but adummy_init()
is called first.

So I put atm_init() into subsys_initcall which seems appropriate, and it
will still get module_init() if it becomes a module.

Interesting to note that you could crash your system here if you just load
the modules in the wrong order.
