Fix parent-device reference leak due to SPI-core taking an unnecessary
reference to the parent when allocating the master structure, a
reference that was never released.
Note that driver core takes its own reference to the parent when the
master device is registered.

The DMA-slave configuration depends on the whether <= 8 or > 8 bits
are transferred per word, so we need to call
atmel_spi_dma_slave_config() with the correct value.

On Intel Baytrail, there is case when interrupt handler get called, no SPI
message is captured. The RX FIFO is indeed empty when RX timeout pending
interrupt (SSSR_TINT) happens.
Use the BIOS version where both HSUART and SPI are on the same IRQ. Both
drivers are using IRQF_SHARED when calling the request_irq function. When
running two separate and independent SPI and HSUART application that
generate data traffic on both components, user will see messages like
below on the console:
pxa2xx-spi pxa2xx-spi.0: bad message state in interrupt handler
This commit will fix this by first checking Receiver Time-out Interrupt,
if it is disabled, ignore the request and return without servicing.

Actually, spi_master_put() after spi_alloc_master() must _not_ be followed
by kfree(). The memory is already freed with the call to spi_master_put()
through spi_master_class, which registers a release function. Calling both
spi_master_put() and kfree() results in often nasty (and delayed) crashes
elsewhere in the kernel, often in the networking stack.

As part of the shared QUP core code path the driver makes an unmasked
register write to the SPI IO control register overwriting all the other
important control bits. Fix this write to be a masked write.

When the spi transfer is initiated during/after system suspend
the runtime pm framework returns an error. Before propagating the
error to the client driver call spi_finalize_current_message
to unblock the spi framework waiting for completion signal from
spi_qsd driver.

spi core and ahb clocks are sourced from the PNOC clock.
so vote for PNOC clock before voting for the spi clocks
to avoid unclocked register access during the spi transactions
or accessing the registers from the debugfs.

`spidev_message()` sums the lengths of the individual SPI transfers to
determine the overall SPI message length. It restricts the total
length, returning an error if too long, but it does not check for
arithmetic overflow. For example, if the SPI message consisted of two
transfers and the first has a length of 10 and the second has a length
of (__u32)(-1), the total length would be seen as 9, even though the
second transfer is actually very long. If the second transfer specifies
a null `rx_buf` and a non-null `tx_buf`, the `copy_from_user()` could
overrun the spidev's pre-allocated tx buffer before it reaches an
invalid user memory address. Fix it by checking that neither the total
nor the individual transfer lengths exceed the maximum allowed value.
Thanks to Dan Carpenter for reporting the potential integer overflow.

Commit fd316941c ("spi/pl022: disable port when unused") introduced a race,
which leads to possible driver lock up (easily reproducible on SMP).
The problem happens in giveback() function where the completion of the transfer
is signalled to SPI subsystem and then the HW SPI controller is disabled. Another
transfer might be setup in between, which brings driver in locked-up state.

Lockup! SPI controller is disabled and the data will never be received. Whole
SPI subsystem is waiting for transfer ACK and blocked.
So, only signal transfer completion after disabling the controller.

While using runtime pm if there is an error getting
local resources the error code wasn't being
propagated up to the runtime pm framework causing
the runtime pm framework to think the device was
active when it wasn't. This would cause runtime pm
to call the suspend callback causing unbalanced clocks.
This patch propagates the error back to the runtime
pm framework so the runtime pm state mirrors the actual
state of the hardware.

Resource aqquistion on a per transfer level incures
a noticable latency penalty. This change removes
this latency by doing resource aqquisition as part
of runtime-pm on non-shared cores.

Once the current message is finished, the driver notifies SPI core about
this by calling spi_finalize_current_message(). This function queues next
message to be transferred. If there are more messages in the queue, it is
possible that the driver is asked to transfer the next message at this
point.
When spi_finalize_current_message() returns the driver clears the
drv_data->cur_chip pointer to NULL. The problem is that if the driver
already started the next message clearing drv_data->cur_chip will cause
NULL pointer dereference which crashes the kernel like:

The FIFO size is 40 accordingly to the specifications, but this means 0x40,
i.e. 64 bytes. This patch fixes the typo and enables FIFO size autodetection
for Intel MID devices.

An IOCTL call that calls spi_setup() and then dw_spi_setup() will
overwrite the persisted last transfer speed. On each transfer, the
SPI speed is compared to the last transfer speed to determine if the
clock divider registers need to be updated (did the speed change?).
This bug was observed with the spidev driver using spi-config to
update the max transfer speed.
This fix: Don't overwrite the persisted last transaction clock speed
when updating the SPI parameters in dw_spi_setup(). On the next
transaction, the new speed won't match the persisted last speed
and the hardware registers will be updated.
On initialization, the persisted last transaction clock
speed will be 0 but will be updated after the first SPI
transaction.
Move zeroed clock divider check into clock change test because
chip->clk_div is zero on startup and would cause a divide-by-zero
error. The calculation was wrong as well (can't support odd #).

This happens because suspend function tries to disable a clock that is
already disabled by runtime_suspend callback. Add if
(!pm_runtime_suspended()) checks to suspend/resume path.

Use "spi_default" string instead of "default" to avoid
installing the active configuration by pin ctrl framework,
which leads to leakage current on the gpios when no slave is
using the spi bus.

Shrink the probe function to avoid the dependency of
the hardware interaction like clocks and bam. This avoids
the system boot-up delay due to hardware depndency.

If an error occurs trying to get resources such as gpio pins
the spi driver is trying to release resources it never aquired.
This patch checks the return status of the function that gets
the resources and skips releasing resources on if it fails.

The spi_qsd driver is prevented from manually being unbound from sysfs.
Change the init call to platform_driver_register and remove the probe

(spi: omap2-mcspi: Do not configure the controller
on each transfer unless needed) does its job too
well so omap2_mcspi_setup_transfer() isn't called
even when an SPI slave driver changes 'spi->mode'.
The result is that the mode requested by the SPI
slave driver never takes effect.
Fix this by adding the 'mode' member to the
omap2_mcspi_cs structure which holds the mode
value that the hardware is configured for.
When the SPI slave driver changes 'spi->mode'
it will be different than the value of this new
member and the SPI master driver will know that
the hardware must be reconfigured (by calling
omap2_mcspi_setup_transfer()).

In commit f814f9ac5a ("spi/orion: add device tree binding"), Device
Tree support was added to the spi-orion driver. However, this commit
reads the "cell-index" property, without taking into account the fact
that DT properties are big-endian encoded.
Since most of the platforms using spi-orion with DT have apparently
not used anything but cell-index = <0>, the problem was not
visible. But as soon as one starts using cell-index = <1>, the problem
becomes clearly visible, as the master->bus_num gets a wrong value
(actually it gets the value 0, which conflicts with the first bus that
has cell-index = <0>).
This commit fixes that by using of_property_read_u32() to read the
property value, which does the appropriate endianness conversion when
needed.

Tearing down BAM pipe causes accessing of BAM registers
(indirectly by the BAM driver). Register access in turn
requires clocking to the internal bus. Lack of clocking
may result in a crash.

Resources such as clocks were removed from runtime pm and only
enabled/disabled while processing a transfer. (See commit
6a464ae275)
This causes an unclocked register access when the spi_setup
function is called outside of a transfer being processed.
This fixes the error by getting/putting the needed
resources during spi_setup.

If an error occurs before get_resources is called then
put_resources was being called out of order which would
cause a crash. This patch removes the extra call to
put_resources to prevent the crash.

When runtime_resume fails to resume due to
failed gpio_request call,Suspend state does not
updated and thus wait queue initialization
is not happen,accessing the same causes kernel
crash. This patch corrects this.

Prevent spi transfers from being grouped together.
Grouping multiple transfers together causes invalid
write then read transactions. This patch prevents
the transactions from being grouped and ensures the
chipselect toggles appropriately.
