1f5a24794a timers: Rename timerlist infrastructure to timerqueue
Thomas pointed out a namespace collision between the new timerlist
infrastructure I introduced and the existing timer_list.c

So to avoid confusion, I've renamed the timerlist infrastructure
to timerqueue.

87de5ac782 timers: Introduce timerlist infrastructure.
The timerlist infrastructure is a thin layer over the rbtree
code that implements a simple list of timers sorted by an
expires value, and a getnext function that provides a pointer
to the earliest timer.

This infrastructure allows drivers and other kernel infrastructure
to easily implement timers without duplicating code.

1118e2cd33 timer: Del_timer_sync() can be used in softirq context
Actually we have used del_timer_sync() in softirq context for a long time,
e.g. in __dst_free()::cancel_delayed_work().

So change the comments of it to warn on hardirq context only, and make
lockdep know about this change.

6f1bc451e6 timer: Make try_to_del_timer_sync() the same on SMP and UP
On UP try_to_del_timer_sync() is mapped to del_timer() which does not
take the running timer callback into account, so it has different
semantics.

Remove the SMP dependency of try_to_del_timer_sync() by using
base->running_timer in the UP case as well.

20f33a03f0 posix-timers: Annotate lock_timer()
lock_timer() conditionally grabs it_lock in case of returning non-NULL
but unlock_timer() releases it unconditionally. This leads sparse to
complain about the lock context imbalance. Rename and wrap lock_timer
using __cond_lock() macro to make sparse happy.

dd6414b50f timer: Permit statically-declared work with deferrable timers
Currently, you have to just define a delayed_work uninitialised, and then
initialise it before first use. That's a tad clumsy. At risk of playing
mind-games with the compiler, fooling it into doing pointer arithmetic
with compile-time-constants, this lets clients properly initialise delayed
work with deferrable timers statically.

This patch was inspired by the issues which lead Artem Bityutskiy to
commit 8eab945c56 ("sunrpc: make the cache cleaner workqueue
deferrable").

d0959024d8 timer_list: Remove alignment padding on 64 bit when CONFIG_TIMER_STATS
Reorder struct timer_list to remove 8 bytes of alignment padding on 64
bit builds when CONFIG_TIMER_STATS is selected.

timer_list is widely used across the kernel so many structures will
benefit and shrink in size.

For example, with my config on x86_64
	per_cpu_dm_data shrinks from 136 to 128 bytes
and
	ahci_port_priv shrinks from 1032 to 968 bytes.

a386b5af8e time: Compensate for rounding on odd-frequency clocksources
When the clocksource is not a multiple of HZ, the clock will be off. For
acpi_pm, HZ=1000 the error is 127.111 ppm:

The rounding of cycle_interval ends up generating a false error term in
ntp_error accumulation since xtime_interval is not exactly 1/HZ. So, we
subtract out the error caused by the rounding.

This has been visible since 2.6.32-rc2
	commit a092ff0f90
	time: Implement logarithmic time accumulation
That commit raised NTP_INTERVAL_FREQ and exposed the rounding error.

8af3c153ba ntp: Clamp PLL update interval
Clamp update interval to reduce PLL gain with low sampling rate (e.g.
intermittent network connection) to avoid instability.

The clamp roughly corresponds to the loop time constant, it's 8 * poll
interval for SHIFT_PLL 2 and 32 * poll interval for SHIFT_PLL 4. This
gives good results without affecting the gain in normal conditions where
ntpd skips only up to seven consecutive samples.

7a2e8a8faa VFS: Sanity check mount flags passed to change_mnt_propagation()
Sanity check the flags passed to change_mnt_propagation(). Exactly
one flag should be set. Return EINVAL otherwise.

Userspace can pass in arbitrary combinations of MS_* flags to mount().
do_change_type() is called if any of MS_SHARED, MS_PRIVATE, MS_SLAVE,
or MS_UNBINDABLE is set. do_change_type() clears MS_REC and then
calls change_mnt_propagation() with the rest of the user-supplied
flags. change_mnt_propagation() clearly assumes only one flag is set
but do_change_type() does not check that this is true. For example,
mount() with flags MS_SHARED | MS_RDONLY does not actually make the
mount shared or read-only but does clear MNT_UNBINDABLE.

032d2a0d06 drm/i915: Prevent double dpms on
Arguably this is a bug in drm-core in that we should not be called twice
in succession with DPMS_ON, however this is still occuring and we see
FDI link training failures on the second call leading to the occassional
blank display. For the time being ignore the repeated call.

4e5359cd05 drm/i915: Avoid pageflipping freeze when we miss the flip prepare interrupt
When we miss the flip prepare interrupt, we never get into the
software state needed to restart userspace, resulting in a freeze of a
full-screen OpenGL application (such as a compositor).

Work around this by checking DSPxSURF/DSPxBASE to see if the page flip
has actually happened. If it has, do the work we would have done when
the flip prepare interrupt comes in.

Also, add debugfs information to tell us what's going on (based on the
patch from Chris Wilson attached to bugs.fdo bug #29798).

8e647a279c drm/i915: Tightly scope intel_encoder to prevent invalid use
We reset intel_encoder for every matching encoder whilst iterating over
the encoders attached to this crtc when changing mode. As such in a
cloned configuration intel_encoder may not correspond to the correct
is_edp encoder.

By scoping intel_encoder to the loop, not only is the compiler able to
spot this mistake, we also improve readiability for ourselves.
[It might not be a mistake, within this function it is unclear as to
whether it is permissable for eDP to be cloned...]
