commit acf69c946233259ab4d64f8869d4037a198c7f06 upstream.
Using tp_reserve to calculate netoff can overflow as
tp_reserve is unsigned int and netoff is unsigned short.
This may lead to macoff receving a smaller value then
sizeof(struct virtio_net_hdr), and if po->has_vnet_hdr
is set, an out-of-bounds write will occur when
calling virtio_net_hdr_from_skb.
The bug is fixed by converting netoff to unsigned int
and checking if it exceeds USHRT_MAX.
This addresses CVE-2020-14386

Curtis Taylor and Jon Maxwell reported and debugged a crash on 3.10
based kernel.
Crash occurs in ctnetlink_conntrack_events because net->nfnl socket is
NULL. The nfnl socket was set to NULL by netns destruction running on
another cpu.
The exiting network namespace calls the relevant destructors in the
following order:
1. ctnetlink_net_exit_batch
This nulls out the event callback pointer in struct netns.
2. nfnetlink_net_exit_batch
This nulls net->nfnl socket and frees it.
3. nf_conntrack_cleanup_net_list
This removes all remaining conntrack entries.
This is order is correct. The only explanation for the crash so ar is:
cpu1: conntrack is dying, eviction occurs:
-> nf_ct_delete()
-> nf_conntrack_event_report \
-> nf_conntrack_eventmask_report
-> notify->fcn() (== ctnetlink_conntrack_events).
cpu1: a. fetches rcu protected pointer to obtain ctnetlink event callback.
b. gets interrupted.
cpu2: runs netns exit handlers:
a runs ctnetlink destructor, event cb pointer set to NULL.
b runs nfnetlink destructor, nfnl socket is closed and set to NULL.
cpu1: c. resumes and trips over NULL net->nfnl.
Problem appears to be that ctnetlink_net_exit_batch only prevents future
callers of nf_conntrack_eventmask_report() from obtaining the callback.
It doesn't wait of other cpus that might have already obtained the
callbacks address.
I don't see anything in upstream kernels that would prevent similar
crash: We need to wait for all cpus to have exited the event callback.

As Jason Baron explained in commit 790ba4566c1a ("tcp: set SOCK_NOSPACE
under memory pressure"), it is crucial we properly set SOCK_NOSPACE
when needed.
However, Jason patch had a bug, because the 'nonblocking' status
as far as sk_stream_wait_memory() is concerned is governed
by MSG_DONTWAIT flag passed at sendmsg() time :
long timeo = sock_sndtimeo(sk, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT);
So it is very possible that tcp sendmsg() calls sk_stream_wait_memory(),
and that sk_stream_wait_memory() returns -EAGAIN with SOCK_NOSPACE
cleared, if sk->sk_sndtimeo has been set to a small (but not zero)
value.
This patch removes the 'noblock' variable since we must always
set SOCK_NOSPACE if -EAGAIN is returned.
It also renames the do_nonblock label since we might reach this
code path even if we were in blocking mode.

This happens because we don't hold pmc->lock in ip_mc_clear_src()
and a parallel mr_ifc_timer timer could jump in and access them.
The RCU lock is there but it is merely for pmc itself, this
spinlock could actually ensure we don't access them in parallel.

On policies with a transport mode template, we pass the addresses
from the flowi to xfrm_state_find(), assuming that the IP addresses
(and address family) don't change during transformation.
Unfortunately our policy template validation is not strict enough.
It is possible to configure policies with transport mode template
where the address family of the template does not match the selectors
address family. This lead to stack-out-of-bound reads because
we compare arddesses of the wrong family. Fix this by refusing
such a configuration, address family can not change on transport
mode.
We use the assumption that, on transport mode, the first templates
address family must match the address family of the policy selector.
Subsequent transport mode templates must mach the address family of
the previous template.

When we do tunnel or beet mode, we pass saddr and daddr from the
template to xfrm_state_find(), this is ok. On transport mode,
we pass the addresses from the flowi, assuming that the IP

This assumption is wrong in the IPv4 mapped IPv6 case, packet
is IPv4 and template is IPv6.
Fix this by catching address family missmatches of the policy
and the flow already before we do the lookup.

In tpacket_snd(), when we've discovered a first frame that is
not in status TP_STATUS_SEND_REQUEST, and return a NULL buffer,
we exit the send routine in case of MSG_DONTWAIT, since we've
finished traversing the mmaped send ring buffer and don't care
about pending frames.
While doing so, we still unconditionally call an expensive
schedule() in the packet_current_frame() "error" path, which
is unnecessary in this case since it's enough to just quit
the function.
Also, in case MSG_DONTWAIT is not set, we should rather test
for need_resched() first and do schedule() only if necessary
since meanwhile pending frames could already have finished
processing and called skb destructor.

from sock_common_recvmsg or inet_recvmsg.
If a blocking read waits on a socket which is concurrently shut down we
now return zero and set msg_msgnamelen to 0.

[ Upstream commit b617158dc096709d8600c53b6052144d12b89fab ]
Some applications set tiny SO_SNDBUF values and expect
TCP to just work. Recent patches to address CVE-2019-11478
broke them in case of losses, since retransmits might
be prevented.
We should allow these flows to make progress.
This patch allows the first and last skb in retransmit queue
to be split even if memory limits are hit.
It also adds the some room due to the fact that tcp_sendmsg()
and tcp_sendpage() might overshoot sk_wmem_queued by about one full
TSO skb (64KB size). Note this allowance was already present
in stable backports for kernels < 4.15
Note for < 4.15 backports :
tcp_rtx_queue_tail() will probably look like :
static inline struct sk_buff *tcp_rtx_queue_tail(const struct sock *sk)
{
struct sk_buff *skb = tcp_send_head(sk);
return skb ? tcp_write_queue_prev(sk, skb) : tcp_write_queue_tail(sk);
}

commit 5846c131c39b6d0add36ec19dc8650700690f930 upstream.
l2tp_tunnel_find_nth() is unsafe: no reference is held on the returned
tunnel, therefore it can be freed whenever the caller uses it.
This patch defines l2tp_tunnel_get_nth() which works similarly, but
also takes a reference on the returned tunnel. The caller then has to
drop it after it stops using the tunnel.
Convert netlink dumps to make them safe against concurrent tunnel
deletion.

commit 8742dc86d0c7a9628117a989c11f04a9b6b898f3 upstream.
We currently don't reload pointers pointing into skb header
after doing pskb_may_pull() in _decode_session4(). So in case
pskb_may_pull() changed the pointers, we read from random
memory. Fix this by putting all the needed infos on the
stack, so that we don't need to access the header pointers
after doing pskb_may_pull().

commit 1a14f1e5550a341f76e5c8f596e9b5f8a886dfbc upstream.
We skip the header informations if the data pointer points
already behind the header in question for some protocols.
This is because we call pskb_may_pull with a negative value
converted to unsigened int from pskb_may_pull in this case.
Skipping the header informations can lead to incorrect policy
lookups, so fix it by a check of the data pointer position
before we call pskb_may_pull.

commit b2cf86e1563e33a14a1c69b3e508d15dc12f804c upstream.
Packet send checks that msg_name is at least sizeof sockaddr_ll.
Packet recv must return at least this length, so that its output
can be passed unmodified to packet send.
This ceased to be true since adding support for lladdr longer than
sll_addr. Since, the return value uses true address length.
Always return at least sizeof sockaddr_ll, even if address length
is shorter. Zero the padding bytes.
Change v1->v2: do not overwrite zeroed padding again. use copy_len.

In order to solve a problem with 802.11, the so-called hole-196 attack,
add an option (sysctl) called "drop_unicast_in_l2_multicast" which, if
enabled, causes the stack to drop IPv4 unicast packets encapsulated in
link-layer multi- or broadcast frames. Such frames can (as an attack)
be created by any member of the same wireless network and transmitted
as valid encrypted frames since the symmetric key for broadcast frames
is shared between all stations.
Additionally, enabling this option provides compliance with a SHOULD
clause of RFC 1122.

commit 87c11f1ddbbad38ad8bad47af133a8208985fbdf upstream.
Similar to commit 44f49dd8b5a6 ("ipmr: fix possible race resulting from
improper usage of IP_INC_STATS_BH() in preemptible context."), we cannot
assume preemption is disabled when incrementing the counter and
accessing a per-CPU variable.
Preemption can be enabled when we add a route in process context that
corresponds to packets stored in the unresolved queue, which are then
forwarded using this route [1].
Fix this by using IP6_INC_STATS() which takes care of disabling
preemption on architectures where it is needed.
